Special Blendz at Station 47
Date: 9/27/08 CTFC will be hosting a special evening from 7pm- 11pm, including a concert event with Special Blendz from 8:30pm -10pm . There will be music provide by a DJ before and after the performance. All you can eat beef and turkey and all you can drink beer and wine. We will also have salads and desserts. Tickets are $35.00 per person. Come out and enjoy a night filled with food, fun, music and dancing.

Building Fire in Brookhaven
Date: 8/15/08 Companies 52, 47, 57, 45, 50, 65, and truck 69 were dispatched to Aucott Rd for a building fire reported to be a fish tank. Soon after 52-1 and 52-9's arrival they were under control and the assignment was recalled.

Building with Explosion in the I-95 Industrial Park
Date: 8/15/08 Companies 47, 52, 57, 61, 68, 63, M31-7 were dispatched to 20 Commerce Drive for a building fire with an explosion. 52-6A went on location with smoke coming from a hole in the ground. Crews were told that the explosion was outside and caused by a backhoe which hit a high voltage electric line. Crews checked the near by buildings due to a power failure in the complex which was a result of this incident, and found nothing. Crews from 47, 52, and 57 remained on scene until PECO arrived, all other companies returned available once the buildings were cleared.

Gas Leak in the Fairgrounds
Date: 8/13/08 Companies from 47 and 52 were dispatched to 12th St and Nate Ellis Drive Drive in the fairgrounds for a gas leak outside. Upon the arrival of 47-9A, it was determined that the workers struck the gas line and PECO was already enroute. Crews from Eng. 47 and 52-6A stood by until PECO arrived and secured the gas.

Rescue in the Farms
Date: 8/11/08 Companies 47, 52 and Medic 45-7 were dispatched to the Toby Farms section of the township for a residential rescue, it was reported to be a child with his foot stuck on a gate. Upon the arrival of M45-7, the child was already cut off of the gate and there was no need for the fire company. M45-7 transported the child to the hospital and the companies returned available.

Building Fire in Aston
Date: 8/10/08 Companies 63, 72, 47, and 39 were dispatched to Lee Lane in Aston for a building fire. Upon the arrival of 63 command, the assignment was held to company 63. Company 47 went off radio.

Working Fire in Toby Farms
Date: 8/7/08 Companies 47,52, 57, and M81-7 were dispatched to Harshaw Rd. for a dwelling fire. 47-9 went responding, and was advised that the police were on location with a working bedroom fire. 47-9 arrived on location, and confirmed that there was a working fire in the rear bedroom on the second floor of the residence. 52-1 arrived soon after and stretched a hand line to the fire room and made a quick knock on the fire. Crews arrived and assisted with overhaul. Crews remained on scene into the morning hours when the investigation was complete. Due to the quick attack and good work by crews on scene the fire was contained to the original fire room.

Building Fire in Brookhaven
Date: 7/8/08 Companies 52, 47, 57, 45, 50 and 65 were dispatched to Scola Rd for a building fire. Upon the arrival of Engine 45 and 52-1, the problem was found to be an overheated motor in a fan. 52 command then recalled the assignment.

Canteen Assists Edgemont Township
Date: 7/8/08 Canteen 47 assisted Edgemont Township at a building fire on the 5000 block of West Chester Pike. The Canteen and crew remained on location until approximately 15:00.

4th of July Festivities
Date: 7/4/08 This year was no different from any other year, except the rain, Company 47 again went to the fireworks at Sun Valley High School and sold pretzels and drinks for anyone who wanted them. Luckily the rain held off and everyone was able to watch the fireworks.

Fire Alarm in the Bridgewater Industrial Park
Date: 7/4/08 Companies 47, 68, 63, 52, 5 7, and 61 were dispatched to 50 Milton Drive for a fire alarm. 47-9 and 52-6A arrived on location with nothing showing from the exterior of the building. Upon arrival, fire board advised 47-9 that a key holder was enroute to the building. While checking the building from the exterior, 52-10 advised 47-9 that the doors on side D of the building we open. Crews then checked the building, and found no evidence of smoke or fire inside the building. The assignment was then recalled.

Building Fire in the I-95 Industrial Park
Date: 7/3/08 Companies 47, 68, 63, 52, 57, and medic 81-7 were dispatched to 121 N. Commerce drive for a fire alarm. 52-6A arrived on location with light smoke showing from side B of the building. Upon the arrival of Engine 47, crews from both companies found that there was a small electrical fire but that it was out. Crews from 47, 52, and 68 opened doors and ventilated the building. Crews remained on scene until the investigation was complete.

Pedestrian Struck in the Fairgrounds
Date: 7/2/08 Company 47 and M817 was dispatched to 2220 9th St. for a child struck. M100 went on location and advised fire board that there was no need for the fire response fire board then relayed to 47-9A who then recalled the assignment

2nd Alarm Job in the City
Date: 7/1/08 Canteen 47 assisted Chester Fire Department on at dwelling fire at 232 E 22nd Street. The Canteen and crew remained on location until 23:25:31.

Fire Alarm at Pyromet
Date: 6/29/08 Companies 47,68,63,52,57, and medic 81-7 were dispatched to 5 Commerce Drive, the Pyromet corporation, for a fire alarm. 47-9 went responding, and was advised by fire board that the alarm was reported to be tripped by the alarm company. 47-9 arrived on location, spoke to the police , and confirmed that the alarm was tripped. 47-9 recalled the assignment.
